New Chicago based action figure manufacturer, Locoape, has announced their plans to release a new set of music action figures based on the UK punk band The Clash. The Clash action figures are part of Locoape's music icon series and will include action figures of Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonen, and Topper Headon. Each 6" Clash action figure will also include the insturment of each band member, accessories, and a base with "The Clash" logo for the action figures. In addition, the packaging of each action figure of The Clash band members will include four randomly selected "The Clash" image backdrops. According to Locoape, The Clash action figures are scheduled for release in Oct. 2007.
The Clash were part of the punk music invasion of the late 1970's in the UK. They were known for their mix of punk music with other styles such as reggae, jazz, and ska. The Clash's skilled musicianship and the passionate, left-wing political idealism of frontmen Joe Strummer and Mick Jones contrasted sharply with the unpolitical Sex Pistols and the basic simplicity of the Ramones. They were together as a band from from 1976 to 1986 and gained worldwide success by the early 1980's.
The Clash Mick Jones, Paul Simonen, and Topper Headon, and Joe Strummer action figures will be available soon right here at Rock-n-Roll-Action-Figures.com on our
music action figures page.
