Mcfarlane Toys has just released some details of their newest Elvis figure named the Elvis Gospel Action figure. The Mcfarlane Elvis Gospel figure is the seventh Elvis action figure from Mcfarlane Toys.

In 2004 Mcfarlane Toys released the Mcfarlane Elvis figure called the '68 Comeback Special figure. This same Elvis figure was rereleased in late 2007 as the Mcfarlane Elvis '68 Comeback Special figure. Just like these previously released Elvis action figures, the Elvis Gospel figure is based on the Elvis' legendary '68 performance televised as the '68 Comeback Special. In this performance, Elvis Presley concluded the concert with the song "If I could Dream". In this song, Elvis directly quoted Martin Luther King Jr. just two months after his assination. Although the song is not a classic gospel song, the moving performance by Elvis contained all the emotion of a hit gospel tune. Now Mcfarlane Toys has captured the true essence of this Elvis with their Elvis Gospel action figure. The Elvis Gospel figure is expected to be released in May of 2008 and depicts Elvis in the classic white suit that fans associate with this moment in history.
